June 18, 2008 - Maggie Redden Makes Paralympic Team for Bejing
Kortney Clemons Wins Nationals in 100 meters and Long Jump
Maggie Redden raced to a lifetime best in the 200 meters and 400 meters at the National
Championships and Paralympic Trials in Phonix, Arizonia this past weekend. She also finished 3rd in the 100 meters with a good time of 19.17. Her time in the 200 meters was 34.31 for 3rd and 65.49 for 4th in the 400 meter. These performances were better than her silver medal performances at Rio deJanerio or the ParaPanamerican games last summer.
Seventeen women were selected to represent the USA at the Paralympics. Maggie will be racing the 100, 200 and 4 X100 meter relay in Bejing this summer Sepember 8th-17th in China.

Kortney Clemons won the 100 meters in 15.17 and the long jump with 14’8”. He had a better performance last year but still won the events and represent himself very well at the Championships. Unfortunately that was not high enough to get one of the 27 spots that the men will have in Bejing.

We are very proud of all of our athletes and look forward to having Maggie represent the USA and PSU at China. Way to go Maggie!!!!!!!!!
