Adventure Recreation Orientation
Adventure Recreation Orientation (ARO) serves as Adventure Recreation's staff training and development program. For 8-10 weeks students will develop outdoor leadership, group facilitation, and technical skills in areas such as backpacking, caving, paddling, and rock climbing. Completion of this program qualifies students to work as an Adventure Recreation Guide. New positions will be opening for the Fall 2015 semester. If you are interested in being a part of the Adventure Rec team, contact Program Assistant, Christina Spohn (firstname.lastname@example.org, 814.863.2895) for more information.
The Adventure Recreation Center (ARC) serves as the hub for all program activities, services, and resources. The ARC is equipped with a full line of outdoor gear available for rental; a resource library of outdoor-based books, periodicals, magazines, maps, and DVD's; and state-of-the-art trail mapping and trip planning resources.
