Fitness classes are part of the Penn State Strength and Fitness program, which is administered under the Intercollegiate Athletics Department. The department employs full-time staff, students, and interns who coordinate the time and space for a large number of weekly classes at the White Building and Rec Hall.
All Penn State Fitness Instructors are required to enroll in a 16-week training course and serve an additional semester as an apprentice. For information on the Penn State Fitness Instructor Training Program, visit our Employment page.
