White Building has two rooms dedicated to fitness and group exercise classes. Room 117 upstairs boasts bright windows and wide open floors equipped with a variety of fitness props and equipment to accommodate nearly every type of fitness class. Room 6, downstairs adjacent to the Fitness center is the larger of the two rooms. It sits at ground level and can be seen from the hallway and the fitness center windows. This 3400 square foot room has all of the amenities needed to offer a complete selection of fitness and Yoga classes.The White Building Cycling Studio, on the North side of the building, houses approximately 30 fixed gear bikes in a theatre style setting so that patrons can see and hear as they are guided through an indoor cycling cardio workout.
Fitness classes are also held in a number of multi purpose rooms in white building. These rooms are shared with other user groups and academic classes but easily convert to fitness class rooms during peak times. Some of these multi purpose rooms include 106 White, ideal for Yoga, Pilates, and dance fitness classes. Room 126, the main white building gym which can hold over 200 fitness patrons. Most commonly it accommodates the popular washboard abs classes so that no one is turned away. 133 and 132 are converted dance studios with hardwood floors and mirrors so that patrons can watch their form.
Rec Hall classes are offered in the 151 LionFit Training Room. This dynamic space changes hourly from cycling studio to circuit room to Yoga studio. It is a semi private space just off of the main gym near the rec hall locker rooms.
