Natatorium Lighting Project Underway - Updated!
The Office of Physical Plant is winding down the replacement of all of the ageing lights above the McCoy Natatorium pools. I’m sure you’ll agree that these new, energy-efficient fixtures make quite a difference!
Work will continue between 7:00 AM and 2:00 PM, necessitating the closure of the pools beneath the work area. In addition to the replacement of old light fixtures, OPP will need to replace bulbs in some of the older fixtures as some bulbs are no longer working. Our regular customers understand this happens annually.
Over the past year we’ve added Ultraviolet Light Disinfection Systems, Energy-Efficient lights, and a new accessible front entrance. We’ve expanded our Red Cross Learn-to-Swim program, Masters Swimming program and our Private Lesson program. We’ve added First Aid and CPR/AED courses to our menu of class offerings and we look forward to announcing additional upgrades to the facility as they are approved.
