The Club Sports Program at University Park provides a variety of opportunities for PSU
students to learn a new sport, make friends, keep fit, and
compete against other university clubs or varsity teams. There
are currently 78 club sport organizations totaling over 4,800 students that meet regularly for
practices and competitions, and to conduct demonstrations, host seminars, coordinate
social activities for members, and engage in community service activities.
"For the students, by the students" is more than a slogan in the Club Sports Program - it is our
philosophy. Club sport organizations are first and foremost student organizations, and are open to all students regardless of ability. In addition to student members, some club sport organizations may choose to grant membership to non-students*; however University Park students
must comprise the majority of each club's membership. In
addition, only full-time University Park students are
eligible to compete on behalf of the club.
* In compliance with Club Sports
Program policy.
